Brief introduction

Context & my role

During a day, we had the opportunity to visit a Renault factory, lead some interviews and a workshop. We used different methods to get as many information as possible and to conclude with a specifications (technologic, users needs, etc.)

We started by a field observation of the factory, then we lead 10 interviews with end-users for me, and technical interview for my colleague. After that we did a workshop to cross all of our information and the different points of view.

We identified the main personas during the workshop: operating organization, order pickers and maintenance. Two different needs came-up, one for real-time following, the other one for a better visualisation of the 3 main problems to solve each months, and a historic.

Workflow

To get a global overview, we did the AGV workflow with all the actors, points of interactions, and the frustrations which were written as an interrogation, because they are an opportunity to innovate.

We designed the new interfaces on Sketch, starting with the AGV overview and alerts panel.

Current status

The project is very confidential and the development phase did not start yet.
